My Academic Journey

My academic journey began in Taiwan, where I earned both my B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration and Policy from National Taipei University. Inspired by faculty and personal experiences, I am now pursuing a Ph.D. at Florida State University. As I work toward graduating in 2026, I hope to bridge perspectives from both Taiwan and the United States, contributing to stronger and more connected public administration practices across cultures.
As I pursue my Ph.D., I find myself continually drawn back to the questions that first sparked my passion for education: Why do some institutions thrive while others struggle? And how do the people within them shape those outcomes? My background as a certified high school teacher deeply informs how I approach these questions, grounding my research in real-world educational contexts. This perspective not only drives my academic work but also enriches my teaching. I bring strong communication and mentorship skills into the classroom, where I strive to create an inclusive, dynamic learning environment that fosters curiosity, growth, and meaningful connection.
My academic journey as an international student has shaped not only how I understand public institutions, but also how I engage with the world around me. As I continue to grow as a scholar and educator, I hope to serve as a bridge between cultures and contribute to meaningful change in both local and global contexts.
